So seldom are we smitten with a brand-new band, an unknown quantity, if you will, that the presence of this record on this label at this time is barely believable. Kim will have to tell the story, some other time, about how these guys floated across our transom, but the rock stands for itself: this is burly, beautiful, richly textured and imaginatively conceived rock music.
